Abstract
In order to give scientific base of the use of Mimosa pudica L. herba as anti calculus, an experiment was done by dissolving the calcium renal calculus with ethanolic and water fraction of the decocta of Mimosa pudica L. herba. The type of calculus was determined using infra red spectrophotometer, and was compared with standard spectrogram reported in Analyse des calculus par spectrophotometric infranouge advanteages et limited de la methode. Hundreds mg of renal calculus was soaked with ethanolic and water fraction of herba decocta of Mimosa pudica L., of 1%, 3%, and 9%. Calcium content of the mixture was the determined by atomic absorption spektrophotometer at wavelength 422,7 nm. The mixture was then analyzed by paper chromatographic method using n-butanol-acetic acid-water (3:1:1 v/v) as mobile phase and the flavonoid was detected using UV lamp with and without treatment by amoniacal vapour. The result showed that calcium content found in water fraction was 110,13 μg/ml ± 0,4234 (1%), 191,15 μg/ml ± 1,0808 (3%), and 529,47 μg/ml ± 3,3283 (9%); and for the ethanolic fraction 71,28 μg/ml ± 0,3994 (1%), 224,53 μg/ml ± 0,7474(3%), and 399,94 μg/ml ± 1,0489 (9%). The result of analysis with cromathography method using n-butanol-acetic acid-water (3:1:1 v/v) as mobile showed that ethanolic and water fraction of Mimosa pudica L. herba contained flavonoids.

Key word : Ethanolic fraction and water fraction, Mimosa pudica L. herb, the calcium renal calculus
