Abstract

This study aims to describe the organizational commitment and the factors that influence organizational commitment to members of the DIY branch of Oriflame multilevel marketing. The subjects of this study were three people, of which the three MLM members acted as players (selling products, recruiting new people, and building networks) and were members of the DIY branch of Oriflame MLM domiciled in DIY and surrounding areas. This research was conducted in three regions, Sleman, Bantul and North Klaten.
The research method used is a phenomenological qualitative method. The sample used was purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Methods of data collection using interviews, data analysis used is the theme analysis and content analysis.
The results of the study show an overview of Oriflame member organizational commitment from affective commitment is, the three subjects understood their role as Oriflame businessmen. They feel happy and not forced to work and meet organizational goals. From the sustainability commitment, the three subjects understood that leaving Oriflame they would start from the beginning and lost the social community in Oriflame. All three subjects knew the main needs they wanted to get from the organization. From normative commitment, the three subjects have a sense of attachment to the network that is built, because they have the same conditions and needs, the attachment to the organization is because the subject feels that the organization cares about its members by providing rewards commensurate with the results of their work. The three subjects felt they had a responsibility to themselves, namely they did not want to give up and fail. The three subjects have a sense of responsibility to the organization, and to the downlines.
