Abstract

The background of this research is the Yogyakarta tourism place which is still a magnet for both domestic and foreign tourists. Tourist visits every year experience an increase with the support of the assumption that Indonesia is a safe and comfortable tourist spot as a vacation spot. The purpose of this study is to investigate the performance level of the Yogyakarta Tourism Office in 2017 and 2018 if it is measured in terms of economic aspects, efficiency, and effectiveness.
The method of data collection in this study is to take the data contained in the Yogyakarta Tourism Office, namely in the form of data from the Yogyakarta Tourism Agency's Performance Agency Report (LKIP) in 2017 and 2018. LKIP data for 2017 and 2018 are then calculated using formulas, measured by predetermined criteria, and analyzed. The results of this study indicate that the Yogyakarta Tourism Office in 2017 has carried out activities economically and very efficiently. In 2018 the Tourism Office shows increased performance in carrying out activities so that it is successful in running economically and very efficiently.
Outcome data are not yet available to the Tourism Office because the Work Plan (Renja) is included in the medium term for 5 years.
