Abstract

Financial distress or financial difficulties is financial decline that experienced by the company before the company experienced it a laquared box which causes the company to be unable to carry out its operasional activities. Financial distress can be caused by three factors, that is: a factor of insufficient capital or a lack of capital, a factor in the amount of debt and interest, and factors suffering from losses.
The purpose of this study is to predict the condition of financial distress in islamic commercial bank and islamic people’s financing banks in 2015-2017. Predictions on financial distress conditions use islamic banking financial ratios, that is CAR, ROA, ROE, FDR, BOPO and NIM. The data collection technique in this study uses the purposive judgment sampling method, which is sampling based on assessment or certain criteria and hypothesis testing using logistic regression test which is to find out which variables are most influential to predict financial distress conditions.
The results of this study partially indicate that each financial ratio does not have a significant effect in predicting financial distress conditions in islamic commercial banks and islamic people’s financing banks. This means that the value of the financial ratios of islamic commercial banks and islamic people’s financing banks are in accordance with the predicate level of bank health.
