Abstract

Life in society is based on prevailing norms, these norms regulate relationships
between individuals. Norms can be considered good or bad depending on each
individual who will be applied in the ethics of behaving in society, given the important
role of norms in acting ethically. Factors that influence an individual's ethical actions
are the environment and the personality itself. In this era of globalization that is
increasingly developing both in the field of science and technology, it can unwittingly
form an idealistic, capitalist human personality and a low level of adherence to
parents. This study analyzes the influence of intrinsic, extrinsic, socio-economic status
and love of money on the ethical perceptions of accounting students. This study uses
the Convenience sampling method, which is sampling based on the ease of getting
samples and the availability of samples. The results of this study prove the absence of
the influence of intrinsic, extrinsic religiosity and socioeconomic status on the ethical
perceptions of accounting students. While there is an influence of love of money on the
ethical perceptions of accounting students. The test tool used in this study was SPSS
with a total of 130 respondents.
