Abstract

This study is entitled "Factors Affecting the Competitiveness of Micro,
Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Yogyakarta City (Case Study on
Culinary MSMEs). The purpose of this research is to find out whether culinary
MSMEs in Yogyakarta City are competitive. The data used in this study are
primary data, the study population is SMEs in the city of Yogyakarta, while the
research sample taken is culinary MSMEs in the city of Yogyakarta. The sampling
technique used was purposive sampling method.
The results of this study are all variables: product excellence, innovation,
human resources, e-commerce utilization and capital readiness simultaneously
affect the competitiveness of MSMEs in Yogyakarta City. The results of this study
also show that the variables of product excellence, innovation, e-commerce
utilization and capital readiness partially have a significant and positive effect on
the competitiveness of MSMEs in the city of Yogyakarta, while the human
resource variable does not positively influence the competitiveness of MSMEs in
the city of Yogyakarta.
