Abstract
: Physical work performed on workers continuously for a long period
of time will affect the mechanism in the body (circulatory system, digestion,
muscles, nerves, and breathing), this makes it easy for workers to experience
fatigue. Hospitals that provide inpatient services require work shift arrangements
so that health services continue to be provided to all patients. In Indonesia, the
maximum length of work time is 8 hours and the rest is for the rest of life in the family
and community. Extending more work time than that will only reduce work
efficiency, increase work fatigue, accidents and illness due to work. Fatigue is a
complex physiological and psychological phenomenon which is characterized by
symptoms of fatigue and physiological changes in the body. Fatigue will result in
decreased workability and endurance. This study aims to determine the
correlation of working period with feelings of fatigue and work shift relationship
with feelings of work fatigue in nurses in the inpatient installation of Pku
Muhammadiyah Gamping Hospital, Sleman Regency.
