Abstract
Research aims to understand media management of communication that is used district community health centers Tanjungsari Gunung Kidul to raise people awareness villages in the subdistrict Tanjungsari about the dangers of dengue fever .The behavior of the people in the village less aware of the existence of mosquito larvae and lack of eradication of mosquito breeding that he did , as does not make up for a kind of water body with a meeting or let cans and bottles open so that it can be collect rain water, will create places mosquitoes, from laying eggs and developing .Hence district community Health Centers Tanjungsari warned the importance of change the behavior of the people to eradicate the nest the mosquitoes with Health Centers Tanjungsari officers came through a medium that of it is used.
This research in a qualitative research aims to obtain an overview of how members Healt Center Tanjungsari managing. Communication media this study took 6 (six) respondents consisting of two from the Healt Center Tanjungsari, one of the Healt Departement Wonosari and three villagers. Data collection method uses the teqnicue interviews and observations.
This research result indicates that communication media made by Health Center Tanjungsari able to increase public awareness about the dangers of mosquito larvae especially the spread of dengue fever (DBD). From the media has been given, communication as information PSN, posters and leaflets and the information board has been running well and make people aware of danger mosquito larvae.
