Abstract
The criminality and delinquency among the minors who continue to increase leads to acts of crime. To restore the child's attitude and behaviour is required. One of the construction containers for children is the Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA). In the construction held at the LPKA, the communication between the coach and the students is a tool for changing the mindset and behavior of the positive direction.
This research aims to determine how the desire to communicate, encoding, message delivery, message acceptance, decoding, feedback between the coach and the student, and supporting factors and The obstacle in conducting coaching in particular assistance mental and spiritual programs at a Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Class II Wonosari Gunungkidul children. The study uses qualitative research methods with qualitative descriptive methods and data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, field observations as well as documentation.
The results showed that the interpersonal communication conducted by the coach and the students went well at the dedicated Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Class II Wonosari in Gunungkidul. Where the desire to communicate, encoding by Communicator, message delivery, acceptance of messages, decoding by the communfishes, or feedback is very effective and the presence of positive responses from the builders and students. The result of the delivery of a student's message to the students through a program of mental and spiritual mentoring that uses interpersonal communication in the delivery of coaching, able to change attitudes and mindset of the students in a positive direction. The supporting factor that is done is derived from the contractor in providing coaching that is done every day. While the obstacle in construction is limited infrastructure facilities in LPKA.
