Abstract
The capital market has a major role for the economy of a country, because
the stock market run two functions, namely the function of financial and economic
functions, one of which investments that the stock exchanges in Indonesia. The
share price at the stock exchange Indonesia is influenced by many factors, one of
which is the change in the company's profit. The purpose of this study was to
determine the effect of changes in earnings on stock prices.
An analytical tool used in this study is the profit for the year t the previous
year compared with the previous year's profit. Sampling of the companies listed in
Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2018. From the data obtained were then tested
with a simple linear regression. The results showed that profit of changes effect on
stock prices.
