Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of smartphone use by students to learn
and the lack of educators in developing audio-visual media. Therefore, in this research,
the local culture-based short film my village was developed in Subthema 1 Lingkungan
Tempat Tinggalku. The purpose of this study: 1) knowing the steps of developing my
village short film media, 2) knowing the quality of my village short film media from
experts, 3) knowing the media worthiness of students and educators.
My village short film media was developed with the Borg and Gall model
consisting of: (1) research and information collecting, (2) planning, (3) developing
preliminary forms of products, (4) preliminary field testing, (5) preliminary products
revision, (6) operational field testing, (7) final product revision, and (8) Dissemination.
The study was conducted at SD Muh Tegalrejo Yogyakarta with the subjects being the
fourth grade students. Data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews,
assessment sheets of experts and educators, and student response sheets. Analysis of the
data of this study includes qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Analysis of
qualitative data in the form of advice / input from experts, students, and educators.
Quantitative data analysis in the form of assessment results from media experts, material
experts, teaching experts, educators, and student responses.
The results of media quality by media experts obtained a value of 100 categories
"Very Good". Material experts obtained a score of 90 in the "Very Good" category.
Learning experts gained 88.33 in the "Very Good" category. The feasibility assessment
from the small scale test obtained a value of 64 categories "Good" and the assessment of
the feasibility of educators obtained a value of 75 categories "Good". The feasibility of a
large-scale test obtained a value of 82.12 in the category of "Very Good" and the
assessment of the eligibility of educators scored 86.25 in the category of "Very Good". It
can be concluded, that the my village short film media is feasible and can be used as class
IV learning in Subtheme 1 Lingkungan Tempat Tinggalku.
