Abstract
In the millennial era as it is today, student discipline needs to be considered in order to achieve
learning objectives. This is due to the large number of students who frequently commit disciplinary violations
at school, such as not taking daily tests, not collecting assignments given by the teacher, and not having the
enthusiasm in following the learning process. The purpose of this study was to determine the forms of learning
discipline in the learning process of PPKn by VIII grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta
2018/2019 Academic Year. This research uses descriptive qualitative research type. The subjects of the study
were the eighth grade PPKn teacher and eighth grade students of Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta Middle
School. While the object of research is the forms of learning discipline in the learning process of PPKn class
VIII of SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta in the 2018/2019 school year. Data collection methods are
done by in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Technical data analysis is done by data
reduction, data presentation, verification. The results showed that the following forms of discipline were: (1)
Working and collecting assignments on time, the majority of students collecting assignments to the teacher,
there were some students who were late in collecting assignments. In addition, the teacher gives sanctions to
students when there are students who are late in collecting assignments. (2) Students pay attention to the
lessons delivered by the teacher, the majority of students pay attention to the teacher explain and can answer

when given questions. (3) Full of responsibility, it can be seen from the discipline of students, the majority of
which collect assignments on time, receive sanctions from the teacher if not disciplined. (4) Obeying the rules,
this is indicated by the absence of students entering and leaving the classroom without the permission of the
teacher. (5) Be diligent and active in participating in PPKn learning, this can be seen from students who
answer teacher questions, pay attention to teachers teaching, doing assignments, and most students who pay
attention to neatness of writing
