Abstract

Pre-retirement employees are employees who are about to retire and of course
are still working until retirement arrives, in this vulnerable period not a few preretirement employees who begin to show symptoms of stress symptoms. This
condition will certainly have an unfavorable impact on company considering that preretirement employees as human resources are one of the valuable assets for company.
This study aims to determine the effect of retirement programs, social support, and
personality on the job stress of pre-retirement employees at the Public Works,
Housing and Settlement Areas of Sleman regency both partially and simultaneously.
The population in this study are all officials and employees who work in The
Public Works, Housing and Settlement Areas of Sleman Regency. The sampling
technique in this study was purposive sampling, namely sampling with certain criteria
so that as many as 40 people were sampled. This research data is in the form of
primary data sourced form questionnaires and data analysis using multiple linear
regression analysis with the help of SPSS 20.0 software.
The results showed that: 1) The retirement program (X1) does not
significantly influence on the job stress (Y) of pre-retirement employees as indicated
by the significance value of 0.948>0.05. 2) Social support (X2) significantly influence
on the job stress (Y) of pre-retirement employees as indicated by the significance
value of 0.013<0.05. 3) Personality (X3) does not have a significant effect on the job
stress (Y) of pre-retirement employees as indicated by a significance value of
0.605>0.05. 4) The retirement program (X1) Social support (X2) and Personality (X3)
together (simultaneously) have a significant effect on the job stress (Y) of preretirement employees as indicated by the significance value of 0.020<0.05.
