The aims of this study is to find out abundance and distribution pattern gastropods in Gajahwong river crossing Bantul district Yogyakarta. The method used to collecting datas gastropods is plotess method. To know data analysis the distribution pattern of gastropods using Hopkins formula, where as to know the abudance of gastropods use density estimation suitable with Diggle’s formula. The result of the research shows that distribution pattern almost all of gastropods species in Gajahwong river crossing bantul district Yogyakarta there are Anentome Helena, Brotia testudinaria, Pomacea Caniculata, Lymnaea Rubiginosa, brotia Costula, Thiara Scabra, Melanoides granifera and Melanoides tuberculalta is clumped, except two station observation of species Brotia costula and Melanoides granifera is random pattern, and also one station observation of species Anentome Helena is rgulary. The highest abudances of gastropods species is Lymnaea rubiginosa (2,378 individu/m2 ± 0,01) respectively Melanoides grafinera (1,942 individu/m2 ± 0,01), Brotia testudinaria (0,758 individu/m2 ± 0,03), Brotia Castula (0,700 individu/m2 ± 0,03), Thiara Scabra (0,675 individu/m2 ± 0,01), anentome Helena (0,559 individu/m2 ± 0,108), melanoides tuberculata (0,187 individu/m2 ± 0,01), and Pomacea caniculata (0,135 individu/m2 ± 0,067)
