Abstract

The aims of study is to find out the abudance and distribution pattern of gastropods in Gajahwong river crossed Catur tunggal Village, Sleman, Yogykarta. The method used to collect the data of gastropode is plotess Methode. The distribution pattern gastrpodes analyzed using Hopkins formula, in order to know the abudance of gastropode we used suitable density estimation with Diggle’s formula. The result shows that distribution pattern all of gastropode species in Gajahwong river crossed Catur Tunggal, SlemanYogyakarta is clumped. The highest abudance of gastropode species Brotia testudinaria with density average 1,593 individu/m2. The average density are Melanoides grafinera is 0,685 individu/m2, Brotia Castula is 0,400 individu/m2, and Melanoides tuberculata is 0,234 individu/m2 respectively.
