Abstract

Yogyakarta is a city that has a diversity of art and culture is still alive in the midst of society. These advantages make the Yogyakarta city visited by many tourists. The development of tourism in the city of Yogyakarta will play a major role in determining income (PAD) received by the City of Yogyakarta because 31% of the revenue derived from the city of Yogyakarta tourism sector. One form of activity to improve the tourist attraction is the exploration and innovation to realize the diversity of the objects and tourist attraction. Tourist village is a new variant of attraction of special interest-based potentials, a village area and has a strategic role in the welfare of society and one of the programs to increase tourist arrivals. Based on these issues it is necessary to build a tourist village information system based on web. The hope with this information system can increase citizen participation in managing and promoting the tourism potential of the region as a new object or improvement of existing ones. The method used in this study is the waterfall method in the development of the system / software. This method includes the phases of the system needs analysis, system design, system implementation and system testing. The results of this study is to produce a system of web-based information tourist village in an effort to increase the participation of citizens in managing and promoting tourism Yogyakarta that can pinpoint the location of the tourist village in accordance with the kind of potential that is desired by the user, determines the route based on the location of origin and destination you want to visit the tourist village which then the system will generate information about the distance to be traveled, time taken, and the roads that will be passed by the user to the point of destination.
