Abstract

Abstrac: The research finding that guidance and counseling management in the school are as follows: 1) In the planning activites, guidance and counseling teachers have designed guidance and counseling programs systematically including the annual programs, monthly programs, weekly programs and daily programs. 2) The organizing activites include constructing guidance and counseling structure, allocating personal jobs for guidance and counseling teacher, and allocating job descriptions in guiding the students. 3) The implementation activities include classical guidance, group guidance, orientation service, collecting data service, individual counseling, group counseling, reveral, collaboration with subject matter and/or homeroom teacher, collaboration with the students’ parent, collaboration with related parties outside the school, counseling service, peer guidance, home visits, and professional development of guidance and counseling teachers. 4) The supervision activities include process and result evaluation of guidance and counseling service. This supervision is conducted both internally by the school principal and externally by the Education Office of Yogyakarta and Board of National Accreditation or BAN when correlated to accreditation.
