Abstract

: Banaran is a District of Kulon Progo Regency. There is an area that has the potential as a center for naga.Hal fruit industry in the area because there are a lot of dragon fruit orchards that used to be taken buahnya.kondisi only makes people weak economy given the selling price of dragon fruit is relatively low and many losses suffered by the farmers due to fruit rot. Though the dragon fruit has a high benefit to health. The fruit can prevent colon cancer, diabetes and other diseases, while the dragon fruit peel can prevent cancer and heart disease, as well as able to root out foreign substances that harm the body. Based on these benefits it is necessary to all parts of dragon fruit processing using the principle of zero waste industry. This principle also serves to reduce the amount of waste discharged into the environment so as to minimize the pollution caused by the industry. Therefore, it is necessary to empower the community to cultivate dragon fruit into products that have a higher economic value. KKN PPM program aims to increase community participation, self-financing and governmental organizations or local governments in an effort to build a free standalone industrial waste. This work is done by forming an independent business unit in the Village Banaran as dragon fruit producing areas and has outlined home infrastructure industry. Results of the program is able to improve people's skills in processing fruit-based products and dragon fruit skin, improve people's lives strains, creating new jobs as domestic industry ,, increase income per capita, and can reduce dragon fruit waste into the environment through the principle zero waste industry.
