Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that explains the relationship between the number of tourists, the number of
hotels, the number of restaurants and the number of travel agencies on the employment of the tourism sector.
This study uses panel data analysis methods from 4 districts and 1 city in the Province of D.I.Jogyakarta, namely
Sleman Regency, Gunungkidul Regency, Bantul Regency, Kulonprogo Regency and Yogyakarta City.
This research uses the Fixed Effect model. The results of this study indicate that the number of travel agents
influences the amount of employment in the tourism sector. While the number of tourists, the number of hotels and
the number of restaurants does not affect the amount of employment in the tourism sector.
