Abstract

Utilization of Information Technology (IT) in Strengthening the Purposes of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in Students in High Schools. This study aims to describe the benefits of information technology (IT) in strengthening the goals of Pancasila Education and Citizenship in high school. Information technology plays an important role as an effort to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes. Information technology is expected to be able to help the realization of civic virtue (civic citizenship), which is reflected in the mastery of civic knowledge, civic skills, and civic dispositions. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques using the triangulation of Miles and Huberman models. The results showed that the integration of information technology in the learning of Pancasila and Citizenship Education in senior high schools was able to strengthen the goals of Pancasila and Citizenship Education. The findings of students are able to explain the concepts of Pancasila and Citizenship Education that is being studied, both during question and answer, discussion, and assignment
presentations. The integration of information technology is also able to strengthen the character of citizenship (civic disposition) through various extracurricular activities.
