Abstract

Sonochemistry has application in many field.such as in biomedical engineering. Because of sonic irradiation, sonochemistry can break chemical bounding. They are know that the power of sonochemistry are cavitation and increasing pressure also temperature in the system. Cavitation can cause bubble formation, growth, and collapese and assist microemulsion between solvent and water. The effect of different polar solvent were investigated here. It was found that hexane (QY = 6.64) is the best solvent to make QDs disperse in water than another solven. We also succesfull use water (non polar solvent) as control for this process to show particle size is the main key to disperse CuInS2/ZnS in water. Futher more, we succesful provide CuInS2/ZnS QDs can disperse in water directly without non polar solvent although quantum yield is low. QY dramatically loss more than 60% at the end of the process. This process can be used in another QDs and many of polymer, fatty acid and others chemical. Characterization in this process used NMR, DLS and UV-PL. finally we succes to labeling human liver carcinoma ( HepG2 ) tumor cells.
