Abstract

Comedian Sadana Agung always appoints special themes and inserts moral messages
into each of his jokes. In addition, Agung's humorous style of play has the potential to be used as
a medium for learning anecdotal texts. In this regard, this study aims to describe Sadana Agung's
humor language game technique and identify the relationship between Sadana Agung's humor
language game and anecdotal text teaching materials for high school level. The object of this
research is the Sadana Agung language game in the Compass TV Season 6 Stand Up Comedy
Program. The Sadana Agung language game under study includes language game techniques
and humor language functions that he uses in the Kompas TV Stand Up Comedy Season 6
program. The data collection method used in this study is the note-taking method. The research
instrument is human interest (the researcher himself). The data analysis method used in this
research is the equivalent method. The results of the analysis show that the humor language game
techniques practiced by Agung Sadana include repetition, inversion, artificial metaphors,
reciprocal interference, homonymy, and artificial substitution. As for the 45 data studied, the
distribution was 17 repetitions, 18 artificial metaphors, 8 homonymy and 2 artificial substitutions.
In addition, there was also a relationship between humor language playing techniques in Sadana
Agung and Indonesian language learning at KD 3.5 regarding evaluating anecdotal texts from
the aspect of implied meaning, and KD 4.5 constructing implied meanings in an anecdotal text
both oral and written.
