Abstract

Anthropometric measurements are indicators used to assess nutritional status that are most practically applied in the field. The measurement methods is easy and does not require professional personnel. However, problem of invalid measurement results often arises due to several factors, including the lack of knowledge of cadres in anthropometric measurements which results in inaccurate measurement practices. This study aims to determine the effect of providing training on anthropometric measurements on level of knowledge of cadres. This type of research was a quasi-experimental one group pre and post design. The sample consisted of 30 people, at the of the study there were 3 people who droped out, so that the sample became 27 people. In this reseach, cadre’s of knowledge of how to measure anthropometry was measured before and after training. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed that there were differences in the level of knowledge on how to measure anthropometry before and after training wth p value of 0,014. Conclusion: Training on how to measure anthropometry has an effect on increasing the knowledge of cadres about how to measure antropometry.
