Abstract

Media is a tool that can effectively connect a company to other company. Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Kulon Progo Airport keep continues to strive to establish a good relations to facilitate the publication of information from PT Angkasa Pura I can be publicized by the media to the public. This research is explaining of how the strategy that carried out by PT Angkasa Pura I Kulon Progo Airport Project in etsblsihing good relations with media. With the purpose is to learn and understand the strategy in building a relationship with reporter and media players. This research method is using the type of qualitative method with phenomenology approach. The result of this research is, First, Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Kulon Progo Airport Project is created a program for media journalism in Kulon Progo. Among others are making a whatsapp group media which members are Kulon Progo journalism and also contains programs such as gathering company, company tour and press conference which addressed to the media as a source of positive information about PT Angkasa Pura I at Kulon Progo Airport Project. Second, Program from Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Kulon Progo Airport Project manage to make the media in Kulon Progo report positive things about the company and the spoke person appointed by PT Angkasa Pura I, only one become the source of information. Third, Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Kulon Progo Airport Project build a social media task force to Satgas Media Sosial untuk tackling the negative content by producing positive content that is dessiminated through social media. Fourth, Public Relations of PT Angkasa Pura I Kulon Progo Airport Project have treaths from fake journalists disguised as journalists with the aim of stealing onfidential information from the company. The study of this research has not been able to provide a real contribution to th development of media relations related so that public relations practitioners can still be develop and expanding in building positive relationship with the media crew. Further researches might be uncover the problmes that have not found new data both from qualitative and quantitative research.
