Abstract
Learning achievement that is influenced by intrinsic and extrinsic factors has been widely studied, especially research that relation with intelligence. Intelligence is identical to IQ (Intelligence Quotient), and as if with a high IQ it can be assured that achievement will be high. This understanding changed after Daniel Goleman stated a new intelligence theory known as Emotional Quotient (EQ). EQ becomes an exciting new discussion especially if it is related to learning achievement in education. This research is field research with kuantitatif approach with research subject of student of class X SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Wates. Subject chosen at random by purposive sample method counted 100 student. The results obtained on average EQ and learning achievement of Islamic Religious Education of vocational students are moderate with a value of 78.28 and 82.63. The influence of emotional intelligence on student achievement SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Wates is very weak and insignificant. While from the Anova test results note that "Emotional Intelligence can not be used to predict the rise and fall of Student Learning Achievement directly.
