Abstract

High blood pressure or hypertension is systolic blood pressure >140mmHg and diastolic pressure >90mmHg. Fruit and or vegetables can decrease it. Carrot is one of vegetables reduce high blood pressure/hypertension consist of potassium, beta carotene, and magnesium. To review the literature systematically and perform meta- analyses based on true-experimental design. We searched grey literature and major electronic databases namely Google Scholar, Portal Garuda, JSTOR, PubMed NCBI, and Science Direct published in 2011-2021. To assess the quality of the article used at the Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) and were sorted based on the inclusion-exclusion criteria following PRISMA. Two hundred nine articles were included in meta-analysis and retrieved a review of 8 articles of inclusion criteria. The number of carrot jus intervention mean effect for systolic 7.67mm/Hg and mean diastolic blood pressure 25.62mm/Hg adequate reduce to blood pressure by systolic 5.6mm/Hg and diastolic 11.57mm/Hg. Based on carrot juice truth- experimental design contributed to reducing systolic and diastolic press blood pressure/hypertension.
