Abstract
Disability is a complex and diverse concept that affects millions of people around the world. Unfortunately, there is a prevalent problem in disability awareness among normal people, especially adults. Thus, it is crucial to instill understanding and appreciation of diversity from an early age. Children can benefit from learning about disability at an early age in order to develop an understanding and appreciation of diversity. Digital games are an increasingly popular and effective tool for teaching children new concepts and skills, and they offer a variety of educational benefits, including the ability to motivate and engage children and to provide immediate feedback and support.
The MDLC was used to guide the development of the game, which included six stages: planning and analysis, design, development, testing and debugging, deployment, and maintenance and updates. A team of developers and educators worked together to create the game, which included gathering materials such as images, audio files, and trivia questions and answers related to disability.
The purpose of this study was to develop an Android game to educate children about disability and promote understanding and inclusion. The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of using the MMDLC to guide the development of the game, as well as to assess the educational value and user engagement of the game. The results of this study is the creation of an android quiz game called “Kuis Disa”, that designed to teach children about disability. Testing is conducted using System Usability Scale or SUS, with the test result 81,53, which indicates that, on the whole, the participants found the system to be user-friendly, intuitive, and effective in meeting their needs.
