Abstract

Abstrack The purpose of this research is the find out as there are any differences of self regulated learning between underachievers and overachievers students. Self regulated learning is an ability of each individual (students). Inability in managing self regulated learning will have a negative impact, such as low achievement, lack of study motivation, etc. the population of this research was the student of third years of SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta, 13-15 years old and the gender was boys and girls. Self regulated learning measured by self regulated learning scales and analyzed with t-test and the result was t=4.276 p=0.000 (p<0.05). The mean of the underachievers students is 92.00 and overachievers students is 107.11. The result showed there is a very significant difference of self regulated learning between underachievers and overachievers students.
