Abstract

This research aims to: 1) develop Microsoft 365-based Islamic Religious Education and Character Education Learning Modules to improve Islamic Religious Education and Character Education learning outcomes of grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu.
This research employed the RnD research method (Research and Development model by Sugiono, comprising: 1) potential and problems, 2) data collection, 3) product design, 4) design validation, 5) design revision, 6) product testing, 7) product revision, 8) field testing, 9) product revision II, and 10) final product. After that, the final product, the module, was tested for its effectiveness using the paired sample statistics (t-test), paired samples correlations, and paired samples tests using SPSS 25.0.
The findings indicated that the Microsoft 365-based Islamic religious and character education learning modules for grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Sedayu were appropriate, with a module validity value of 90.8% and a material validity value of 92%. The mean scores of the paired sample statistics (t-test) of the pre-test and post-test scores were respectively 67.1875 < 85.7031. Hence, there was an improvement in student's learning outcomes. The paired samples correlations yielded a correlation coefficient value of 0.471 with a p-value of 0. Therefore, there was a correlation between pre-test and post-test variables. The result of the paired samples test was significant (p-value=0.000, <0.05). Hence, the product was effective for Islamic religious and character education learning to improve student's learning outcomes.
