Abstract

The Department of Agriculture and Food Security is a government agency tasked
with solving problems in the management of the agriculture and food sector. This
institution has the authority as the Regional Food Safety Competent Authority
(OKKP-D) to supervise the safety and quality of PSAT. Sanitation and hygiene are
important in maintaining food quality and safety. Sanitary supervision of Fresh
Food from Plants (PSAT) businesses is one of the government's efforts to ensure
the safety of food consumed by the public. PSAT certification is an internationally
recognized standard as a form of compliance of business actors in maintaining food
safety. This research was conducted at PT Buah Angkasa which produces salak
export fruit. This research method, qualitative method. The results of the first
evaluation of PT Buah Angkasa were at level 4 with 10 major and 2 serious
findings. After the suggestion of improvement within one week and corrective
action, PT Buah Angkasa rose to level 1, with 7 major resolved, 2 serious resolved
and 3 major unresolved. This makes PT Buah Angkasa qualified and eligible to be
issued a PSAT certificate.
