Abstract
Background : Work fatigue is one of the occupational health and safety issues that can befactor of accidents at work. In a work accident report released by The National Safety Council (NSC), as many 69% of employees experienced work fatigue. In the report, it is stated that 90% of employees feel fatigue due to work patterns and as many 72% of other workers feel that they
have the potential to endanger safety. The results of a preliminary study of 10 gas station operator workers all feltfatigue. The problem in this study is the relationship between energy intake and work shifts with a feeling of fatigue in pump operators Ambarketawang gas station.
Method : The method used is a quantitative method using cross sectional design. The sample in this study were 45 participants. The statistical test used is the chi-square test.
Result : The results of the statistical test between energy intake and feelings of fatigue were 0,519 (P>0,05). The results of the statistical test between work shifts with a feeling of fatigue is 0,016 (P<0,05).
Conclusion : There is no correlation between energy intake with a feeling of fatigue in the operator of the Ambarketawang gas station operator. There is correlation between work shifts and the feeling of exhaustion on the operator of the Ambarketawang gas station operator.
