Abstract
Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) play an important role in the
development and growth of an economy. Indonesia is one part of developing
countries which can not be separated from a business activity. UMKM located in
Indonesia very important role in creating jobs, in which can assist the government
in reducing unemployment and poverty in developing countries today. UMKM
progress there are still fundamental problems that have always faced is the lack
of capital. Where capital is the most important thing in the development of a
business. UMKM are still faced with several constraints, for example the level of
capability and expertise in preparing the financial statements in which many
UMKM are not aware of the financial statements. Researchers want to analyze
the understanding of the financial statements on the batik UMKM. This study
using purposive sampling means that sample by using criteria. The samples
obtained were the UMKM in the city of Yogyakarta. The results of this study visits
by percentage.
