Abstract

Clean and Healthy Life Behavior in schools is a set of behaviors that are practiced by
students, teachers, and the school community on the basis of self-awareness. Based on
the proportion of proper hand washing behavior in the population aged ≥ 10 years which
is equal to 49.8%. While the proportion of bowel behavior in the toilet at age ≥ 10
population is 88.2%. There are differences in clean and healthy life behavior among
students in urban and rural schools, PHBS students in urban schools are better (58.82%)
compared to school students in villages (28.84%) Students who attend school in cities
have PHBS facilities that support.This type of research is Observational Analytic with
Cross Sectional design. The sample of this research was VII grade students in SMP
Negeri 3 Warungkiara One Roof Warungkiara Subdistrict, Sukabumi Regency with a
total of 117 respondents and used total sampling techniques. The instrument in this
study was a questionnaire using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis, namely the
chi square test. There is no relationship on the attitude variable with PHBS with a pvalue of 0.783, there is no relationship between knowledge and PHBS with a p-value of
0.819, and there is no relationship between the role of the teacher and the PHBS with a
p-value of 0.440. There is no relationship between attitudes, knowledge and the role of
the teacher with clean and healthy living behavior in grade VII students at SMP Negeri
3 Warungkiara Satu Roof Warungkiara District Sukabumi Regency.
