Abstract

The purpose of this research to describe the level of readiness of schools implementing
inclusive education in Kulon Progo Regency and to determine the level of readiness of
schools implementing inclusive education in Kulon Progo Regency. The aspect in terms of
6, aspects of school readiness. This study used quantitative descriptive method the
Inclusive Education Provider Elementary School in Kulon Progo Regency. The subjects of
this study were 23 headmasters of inclusive education providers in Kulon Progo Regency.
Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire instrument. Data analysis
techniques using descriptive statistics and the presentation of data using percentages. The
results showed that: 1). The level of school readiness in implementing inclusive education
in Kulon Progo Regency is ready at 78.2% or 18 school. There are 21.7% or 5 of schools
that are not ready to implement inclusive education 2). The level of school readiness in
implementing. The curriculum aspect is ready with a percentage of 82.6% or 19 school.
The teaching staff aspect is ready with a percentage of 78.2% or 18 schools. The facilities
and infrastructure aspects are ready with a percentage of 78.3% or 18 schools. Funding
Aspects are ready with a percentage of 86.9% or 20 schools. The school management
aspect is ready with a percentage of 91.3% or 21 schools. Environmental aspects are ready
with a percentage of 91.3% or 21 school. The unpreparedness of schools in implementing
successive inclusive education can be expressed in the aspects of (a) teaching staff as much
as 21.7% or 4 school (b) facilities and infrastructure 21.7% or 5 school (c) curriculum
17.4% or 5 school (d) financial 13% or 3 school (e) school management 8.7% or 2 school
(f) 8.7% school environment or 2 school.
