Abstract
The purpose of this study is to test the validity and reliability of the construct of job satisfaction scales, determine the contribution of aspects and indicators in reflecting job satisfaction, and to test the
theoretical model of job satisfaction according to empirical data. 86 teachers of SMK X in Yogyakarta are included as participants of the study. The sampling technique is probability sampling. Data were collected using a job satisfaction scale which is arranged with a semantic differential scaling model. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through the SmartPLS 3.0 program. These findings indicate that all aspects are able to reflect job satisfaction on vocational teachers, such as salary, promotion, allowances, rewards, supervision, work procedures, co-workers, nature of work, and communication. The most dominant aspect that reflects job satisfaction is supervision, with indicators of perceptions and reactions related to the good attitudes and values of the principals. The lowest aspect that reflects job satisfaction is the nature of the job, as indicated through teacher perceptions and reactions to the job. The theoretical model of the job satisfaction variable is in accordance with the empirical data.
