Abstract
Indonesia has one of the health problems that cannot be resolved, namely infectious diseases,
then added to the presence of non-communicable diseases, one of which is Diabetes Mellitus.
Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a disease that has the second highest prevalence after hypertension,
therefore Diabetes mellitus can also cause complications and even cause death. The conditions
that cause Diabetes Mellitus (DM) are several factors including heredity, lack of health checks,
irregular eating patterns and also lack of daily activities. This is what causes many people not
to know that they have Diabetes Mellitus. The purpose of this community service is to identify
and analyze a health problem in an area by carrying out Community Diagnosis, and providing
solutions related to a problem with the approval and cooperation of community stakeholders.
The method used in community diagnosis activities is descriptive qualitative method, namely by
analyzing and identifying problems through interviews in accordance with the questionnaire
guidelines. The results obtained from activities in the community of Rt 07/02 Rejowinangun
Village, Kotagede District, namely the lack of public awareness of the importance of health
checks and also understanding of the disease about Diabetes Mellitus (DM).
