Abstract

Stunting, wasting and underweight in school children are caused by a lack of nutrition during
infancy and during pregnancy as well as a lack of energy intake in children. Children who are
stunted, wasted and underweight are at risk of developing disease when they grow up. One of the
provinces in Indonesia with a fairly high incidence of stunting is the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Preventive efforts need to be made to overcome health problems related to stunting, wasting and
underweight. This method of community service uses the counseling method for teachers/staff and
guardians of TK/PAUD Aisyiyah Karangharjo Berbah Yogyakarta. The total number of participants
who took part in service activities was 69 people. Most of them have a high school/vocational school
education of 54.10%, self-employed work of 40.98% with a family income of more than the UMP of
57.37%. Participants also implemented good nutritional parenting patterns, good housing and
family environmental sanitation, use of iron supplements at 93.44%, folic acid supplements at
96.72%, and zinc at 90.16%. The results of community service also show that 54.09% of students'
parents understand well about stunting, wasting and underweight diseases and 57.35% of them
understand well about the use of supplementation. Therefore, community service in efforts to prevent
and treat disease needs to continue to be encouraged in efforts towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.
