Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terjadi hipotesis surga polusi yang di wakili dengan varaibel emisi karbon MtCO2 pada negara-negara yang memiliki emisi tertinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan data panel gabungan antara cross section dan time series salaam tahun 2003-2021. Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan data panel dengan model fixed effect, variabel FDI berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas lingkungan dan membuktikan adanya Pollution Haven Hypotesis. Pada variabel ekspor tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas lingkungan dan menolak adanya Pollution Haven Hypotesis. Sedangkan pada variabel lainnya seperti pertumbuhan penduduk dan konsumsi energi memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kualitas lingkungan. Untuk variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi dan control of corruption tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap kualitas lingkungan.
