Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pet attachment dengan loneliness pada dewasa awal perantau. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah dewasa awal perantau dengan jumlah responden sebayak 150 orang.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan skala sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah The-6 item De Jong Gierveld Scale Loneliness dan Lexington Attachment to Pets Scale (LAPS). Sampling dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, sedangkan analisis data penelitian dilakukan menggunakan teknik spearman rho.
Hasil analisis data pada penelitian menunjukan nilai koefisien rho sebesar -0,045 dengan taraf signifikansi (p) sebesar 0,291 (p>0,05). Artinya, tidak ada hubungan antara pet attachment terhadap loneliness pada dewasa awal perantau, sehingga hipotesis ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil perolehan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan antara pet attachment terhadap loneliness pada dewasa awal perantau.
