Abstract
Yogyakarta is one of the tourism cities in Indonesia. In line with the facts, English Education Department of Universitas Ahmad Dahlan take the opportunity to promote tourism in Yogyakarta by involving Practicum on Tourism as one of the subjects in the department. Based on the condition providing a good guideline book that is suitable with the students’ needs should be conducted. Therefore, the researcher is interested in conducting a research to develop a guideline book for Practicum on Tourism.
This research belongs to R&D research, especially uses the ADDIE model. It consisted of five steps which are Analysis, Design, Development, implementation and Evaluation. The data were collected from the research subject through semi-structured interview and questioners. The qualitative data from the interview were analysed descriptively while the quantitative data from questioner were analysed by using validation process.
The product of this research is a guideline book fo Practicum on Tourism. The book was developed based on the needs analysis in the beginning of the research. Then according to the validation process by an expert, it was obtained a score 37 and percentage of 82%. It means that the guideline book belongs to the very feasible category.
