Abstract

Background: Mechanics experience the risk of ergonomic injury due to non-ergonomic work postures, such as sitting squatting during the process of servicing motor vehicle damage, thus causing health problems. Ergonomic risk analysis carried out using REBA (Rapid Entre Body Assessment) and NBM (Nordic Body Map) observation sheets aims to determine the level of ergonomic risk and then recommend evaluation improvements, such as redesigning the workplace, educating about ergonomic work postures, then providing health promotion in the form of recommending that stretching be carried out at least 1 hour before the service process activity takes place. Method : Qualitative research using REBA (Rapid Entre Body Assessment) and NBM (Nordic Body Map) observation sheet instruments. With the number of subjects being three mechanics at Ahass 10669 Tembi Jaya Motor Workshop, Bantul Regency. This research was carried out in July 2024. Results: There is a high risk of ergonomic injury caused by improper body posture, which can cause health problems. Conclusion: work posture between mechanics at the Ahass 10669 Tembi Jaya Motor Bantul Regency workshop can vary, this is because depending on the work they do, mechanics involved in the damage servicing process will be more susceptible to health problems, such as sitting squatting for too long, rotating movements on wrists, and back pain due to bending for too long.
