Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pembelajaran IPA yang berada di sekolah dasar diperlukan model pembelajaran yang inovatif dan kreatif, sehingga
peserta didik bisa mengalami, membuat, dan menemukan sebuah inovasi dari pengetahuannya sendiri, dengan hanya melalui bimbingan dari guru. Model pembelajaran Project Based Learning merupakan salah satu model pembelajaran yang bisa digunakan oleh guru dalam mengajar pembelajaran IPA di sekolah. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan: 1) untuk mengetahui penerapan model
pembelajaran Project Based Learning pada pembelajaran IPA peserta didik kelas IV; 2) untuk mengetahui antusias peserta didik dalam pembelajaran IPA;3) untuk mengetahui kendala dan kesulitan dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini meliputi peserta didik kelas IV, dan satu
guru mata pelajaran IPA. Objek penelitian ini yaitu model pembelajaran Project Based Learningpada pembelajaran IPA. Hasil penelitian ini pertama guru dalam pembelajaran IPA di kelas IV menerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning yang disesuaikan dengan
sintaks. Penyusunan modul ajar juga telah disesuaikan dengan materi pembelajaran yang akan disampaikan dan sintaks dari model pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Kedua kondisi peserta didik dalam membuat sebuah proyek, peserta didik aktif dalam membuat proyek. Selain itu sikap kerjasama peserta didik dengan teman lainnya juga terlihat dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning. Ketiga kendala dan kesulitan dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran ini adalah kurangnya literasi pada peserta didik, keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran dan kurang kondusifnya suasana pembelajaran pada saat menerangkan materi.
This research is motivated by science learning in elementary schools that requires an innovative and creative learning model, so that students can experience, make, and discover an innovation from their own knowledge, with only guidance from the teacher. Project Based Learning model is one of the learning models that can be used by teachers in teaching science learning at school. This research has objectives: 1) to find out the application of the Project Based Learning learning model in science learning for grade IV students; 2) to find out the enthusiasm of students in science learning; 3) to find out the obstacles and difficulties in using the learning model. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects in this study included fourth grade students, and one science teacher. The object of this research is the Project Based Learning learning model in science learning. The results of this study are first, the teacher in learning science in class IV applies the Project Based Learning model which is adjusted to the syntax. The preparation of teaching modules has also been adapted to the learning material to be delivered and the syntax of the Project Based Learning learning model. Second, the condition of students in making a project, students are active in making projects. In addition, the attitude of cooperation of students with other friends is also seen in the use of the Project Based Learning model. Third, the obstacles and difficulties in using this learning model are the lack of literacy in students, limited learning time and less conducive learning atmosphere when explaining the material.
